When looking back on Christmases of the past, we tend to imagine them quite idealistically. The fire crackling merrily in the grate, casting a warm glow over the faces of our loved ones as they sit on the couch, sipping at eggnog and laughing jovially.
There’s Christmas music playing softly in the background and the smell of turkey is wafting in from the kitchen. You glance out the window and see big, fluffy snowflakes slowly drifting down, settling in piles that glitter under the pale glow of the streetlights.
However, we all know that the holidays rarely go so smoothly in reality. And with all the work that goes into holiday celebrations, one little mishap can seem like a huge disaster.
Frankly, though, it’s these “Christmas disasters” that make the holidays all the more memorable. Cheers this year to those moments that the holidays wouldn’t be the same without!
