There’s more to the holidays than Christmas shopping and shoveling your driveway. Take some time amid your must-do tasks to enjoy some of the amazing holiday activities available during this special time of the year.
Partaking in these activities will not only relieve stress but instill in you some Christmas spirit. Plus if you have snow already, the holidays are the best time to make the most of the winter weather.
By the time March rolls around you are thoroughly sick of snow, but right now a fresh blanket of snow is beautiful and full of opportunities. So go ahead, make some time for these holiday activities this month!
This could be one of the most exhilarating experiences of your entire life. Singing in front of absolute strangers may seem like an absurd task, but it helps you get into the holiday spirit, and it helps others to as well.
Nothing brings more joy than music, so why not overcome your nerves and sing to your heart’s content?
It doesn’t matter if you are two or 52, sledding is a fun filled experience. Don’t have a sled? No problem! Just find something that will work.
Many students living in residence on campus have discovered that the cafeteria trays make for excellent sleds! Air mattresses, inner tubes and pool floaties also make for great improvised sleds.
So grab something, sit down and hold on!
With so many cities offering free skating rinks during the winter months there is no reason to not go skating. It costs nothing (providing you already have a pair of skate) and can be a great way to have fun with friends or family.
If you don’t have skates check out a used skate store and grab a pair for cheap! Many rinks also provide rental services.
There’s no excuse to not enjoy some leisurely ice time!
